Our Vision

To practice the art and the science of compassionate healing relationships in open collaboration with each patient

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide integrated care to our patients by offering a variety of care methodologies including but not limited to Western allopathic medicine, Naturopathic medicine, Eastern healing approaches, and healing practices founded in the Ageless Wisdom. BodhiCare™ will also offer preventive health resources and services to the community through education and an outpatient clinic.

Every patient will be treated equitably, inclusively and humanistically with compassion and respect for their traditions, values, culture, gender, age, sexual preference and economic status.

Our aim is for each patient to receive care based on a continuous healing relationship with us through face-to-face, Internet, phone, on-line information and other means of access on a 24/7 basis. Our diagnosis process considers many variables influencing the health of a patient: body, emotions, mind, spirit, social relationships / environment and community. The patient is in control of decisions about their care and will be given opportunity to exercise the degree of control they choose over health care decisions for their treatments and therapies. In other words a patient’s preferences and values trump all advice from clinicians and loved ones. Our aim is to diagnose accurately and quickly. Our care recommendations will be guided by patient preferences and will be presented in clear, direct and plain language in both written and verbal formats.

BodhiCare™ strives to implement the Institute of Medicine’s, “Nothing about me without me”. Our patients will have open access to information we collect / document about them and to discussions regarding their care. To the degree they choose, a patient and their loved ones are involved, educated and informed about proposed and past decisions regarding the patient’s care.

Community Citizenship

BodhiCare™ will strive to be a good community citizen by operating with as little negative impact on the environment as is clinically and operationally possible.

BodhiCare™ will follow the Green Guide for Healthcare (GGHC) standards for operations and for construction projects. The GGHC establishes standards for facilities management / maintenance, site management, chemical management, waste management, housekeeping / cleaning, food services and purchasing as well as innovative practices that extend beyond GGHC’s standards. The construction standards are modeled on the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

Technology

BodhiCare™ technology will be integrated so that all systems easily communicate with each other, and are able to provide operational and clinical information in timely and user-friendly manner. Technology will be configured so that it supports the vision and values.

Technology will support patient self-management through the use of patient operated devices that will report information into their electronic medical record (EMR) at BodhiCare™ and give patients real time feedback. For example, a person with Congestive Heart Failure might need to continually monitor their weight. A scale at home could be read by the patient and electronically tied to their EMR so that caregivers could support patient goals and outcomes with real time information.

Patients will be given access to their records via the medium they request that is available from BodhiCare™. Available technology mediums planned are on-line, portable jump drives or paper copies.

Food

Hospital food needs to be attractive, tasty, fresh and healthy. It should be a resource for health. BodhiCare™ will endeavor to purchase locally grown food that is organic, when available. It is our aim to serve healthful, spa cuisine quality food.

Joy in Work

BodhiCare will strive to be a great place to work. Caring and compassion extend to relationships between caregivers, healers and administrators. All members of the organization will strive to practice the values of the organization:

  • Self-Mastery
  • Love
  • Inclusiveness
  • Equanimity
  • Future
  • Beauty
  • Compassion

These values will guide all interactions between all members of the BodhiCare™ team. Managing the inevitable conflict that arises in coordination and collaboration of care with compassion, grace and mutual respect is the responsibility of every caregiver, healer and administrator in the organization.
